Why there are rules

Decernimus is a game about disagreeing well. Everyone argues for a choice and tries to convince the others. Disagreement is the point of the game. These rules keep it worth playing.

Argue the choice, not the person

Go after ideas, not players. Be persuasive, not loud. A good reason convinces more people than a sharp word.

Not allowed

• Harassment, hate or threats.
• Doxxing, or sharing anyone's personal data.
• Spam.
• Ballot stuffing, or using more than one identity to swing a vote.
• Voting with scripts or bots.
• Illegal content.
• Any sexual content involving minors.

Keep it readable

Write for a broad audience. Anyone from 16 up should be able to read the arguments and the chat.
